Apartment Life in Edison
Edison Township, population 97,687 is the largest township in Middlesex County and cover over 32 square miles. Located in Central New Jersey, it is a more affordable alternative than neighborhoods to the north. Edison is both ethnically and economically diverse and includes both affluent as well as commercial areas. Although it doesn't have a true downtown area, it offers a wide array of restaurants, shopping opportunities, including Menlo Park Mall and numerous strip malls and ethnic supermarkets.
The township is a major transportation hub. The Edison train station services New York, Trenton and point in between. Metropark, which is nearby is frequented Edison commuters and enjoys Amtrak in addition to NJ Transit train service. Edison boasts 25 municipal parks, including Middlesex County’s Roosevelt Park, excellent public schools and a number of private schools. Renter occupied housing is 35% of total housing.
